Too many books? How to cut your resource list in one evening
5 min read
Resource anxiety is the most common problem we see in a first call. Students own three books per subject and have finished none.
For each subject, keep one primary source you will read cover to cover, one question source you will solve completely, and one revision source (often your own notes). Everything else goes on a shelf you do not open until the first three are done.
Choose the primary source by one test: is it the one your exam's previous-year questions match most closely? For NEET that is almost always NCERT; for UPSC Prelims, standard references plus NCERTs.
Write the three names on a card and stick it above your desk. When a new book is recommended online, check it against the card first.
